Job description

Company Overview:

Garrett Mechanical / Sundream HVAC provides light commercial customers with maintenance services across large geographies and locations. We have small teams of expert technicians responsible for responding to emergency and routine maintenance requests, typically within a 2-3 hour driving window from their home location. We offer competitive pay and are seeking mature technicians capable of providing their expertise on a full-time or 1099 basis. Pay range is negotiable based on experience, willingness/ability to provide own tools and vehicle, and insurance coverage as a 1099 contractor.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct routine and emergency HVAC, plumbing, and handyman service calls.
2. Complete paperwork and documentation, including pictures, in a timely manner.
3. Provide input and observations to support reactive service or replacement quotes for follow-up work.
4. Be attentive, courteous, and responsive while working semi-autonomously.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with commercial HVAC installation, troubleshooting, service, maintenance, or repair.
• Preference for bringing own work truck, tools, and additional insurance coverages.
• Experience in maintenance or related fields.
• Familiarity with hand-held tools and equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Familiarity with pipe threading and construction plumbing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• General maintenance skills.
• HVAC certification or degree is a plus.
