Murdoch Developmental Center is recruiting for a Health Care Technician II at Arbor, reporting to the Unit Manager. This supervisory position monitors care provided by Technician I staff, offering feedback as needed.
This is a full-time position with full State benefits, including health insurance, paid leave, and retirement. Normal working hours are on 2nd Shift: 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., including holidays and every other weekend, with some flexibility required.
Positions require flexibility for scheduling, including weekends and holidays, with possible shift changes for coverage.
MDC serves 25 counties in central NC, providing residential services and supports for individuals with complex needs. It employs approximately 1600 staff and is located near Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. Applicants must be in good standing with the North Carolina Health Care Personnel Registry.

This position does not require NA I/II certification. Qualification can be through education, experience, or a combination, as detailed on osh r.nc.gov/experience-guide.
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination. Necessary training includes Nurse Aide I certification, with Nurse Aide II or EMT certification as applicable.
