Mesa Energy Systems, Inc. seeks a licensed Journeyman HVAC Technician to join our Thousand Oaks team. You will install, inspect, repair, and service chiller and HVAC systems, ensuring peak performance and safety on every job.

Requirements include 5+ years of field HVAC experience, EPA 608 certification, and the ability to read blueprints. A valid driver's license and strong communication skills are essential for on-site work with commercial clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience as Licensed Journeyman in HVAC.
• Must have an EPA Certification (608) Universal License.
• Commercial experience in HVAC and Refrigeration.
• Ability to read blueprints and use hand tools safely.
• Strong written and verbal communication; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance including cleaning, filter changes, and oiling parts.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems and read blueprints.
• Maintain safe work practices and operate testing devices to verify performance.

About Us

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Knowledge of chiller systems, refrigeration, heat pump, and HVAC equipment
• Responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioningsystems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment such as vacuuming, cleaning, changing filters, and oiling parts.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVACsystems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVACsystems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience as Licensed Journeyman in HVAC
• Must have an EPA Certification (608) Universal License
• Commercial experience as a HVAC and Refrigeration Technician
• Knowledge and experience in the proper use and safe operation of hand tools, equipment, and testing devices necessary to perform all work assignments.
• Participates in the ongoing training available to our crews to keep updated on the newest equipment and latest software for HVAC equipment.
• Strong oral and written communication required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform duties with minimal supervision in isolated areas.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Valid Driver’s license and able to maintain a good driving record.

Geographic Disclosure

Compensation Range: $56 - $65 per hour The hourly rate is determined by the CBA/rate sheet and test results. Benefits are provided through local labor union aligned with collective bargaining agreement.
