Job summary

EMCOR Services Mesa Energy is seeking an experienced HVAC Journeyman to install, inspect, and repair heating and cooling systems at on-site locations. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and ensure safe operation of tools and equipment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of field experience, a valid EPA 608 certification, and the ability to read blueprints. A valid driver’s license and strong communication skills are required to join our team in Mesa, CA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience as Licensed Journeyman in HVAC.
• Must have an EPA Certification (608) Universal License.
• Commercial experience in HVAC and Refrigeration.
• Knowledge of safe operation of hand tools and testing devices.
• Participates in ongoing training to stay updated on equipment and software.

Job description

We are a full-service HVAC, building automation, chiller, and retrofit contractor with a reputation for combining high-quality consulting services with customized energy solutions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Knowledge of chiller systems, refrigeration, heat pump, and HVAC equipment
• Responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment such as vacuuming, cleaning, changing filters, and oiling parts.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience as Licensed Journeyman in HVAC
• Must have an EPA Certification (608) Universal License
• Commercial experience as a HVAC and Refrigeration Technician
• Knowledge and experience in the proper use and safe operation of hand tools, equipment, and testing devices necessary to perform all work assignments.
• Participates in the ongoing training available to our crews to keep updated on the newest equipment and latest software for HVAC equipment.
• Strong oral and written communication required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform duties with minimal supervision in isolated areas.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Valid Driver’s license and able to maintain a good driving record.

Compensation Range

$48.41 - $56.95 per hour. The hourly rate is determined by the CBA/rate sheet and test results. Benefits are provided through local labor union aligned with collective bargaining agreement.
