Job summary

Mesa Energy Systems, Inc. is a full-service HVAC contractor seeking experienced technicians in the San Leandro area to install, service, and maintain HVAC systems.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, read blueprints, and ensure system safety and efficiency on commercial projects. Requirements include 5+ years as a Journeyman HVAC, EPA 608 Certification, strong communication, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience as Licensed Journeyman HVAC.
• EPA Certification (608) Universal License.
• Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration experience.
• Knowledge of safe use of hand tools and testing devices.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Valid Driver’s license with clean record.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as vacuuming, cleaning, changing filters, and oiling parts.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems.
• Read blueprints and follow written and verbal instructions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Knowledge of chiller systems, refrigeration, heat pump, and HVAC equipment
• Responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioningsystems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment such as vacuuming, cleaning, changing filters, and oiling parts.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVACsystems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVACsystems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience as Licensed Journeyman in HVAC
• Must have an EPA Certification (608) Universal License
• Commercial experience as a HVAC and Refrigeration Technician
• Knowledge and experience in the proper use and safe operation of hand tools, equipment, and testing devices necessary to perform all work assignments.
• Participates in the ongoing training available to our crews to keep updated on the newest equipment and latest software for HVAC equipment.
• Strong oral and written communication required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform duties with minimal supervision in isolated areas.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Valid Driver’s license and able to maintain a good driving record.

Geographic Disclosure

Compensation Range: $21.25 - $64.37 per hour The hourly rate is determined by the CBA/rate sheet and test results. Benefits are provided through local labor union aligned with collective bargaining agreement.
