Job summary

Accurate Mechanical in Chillicothe, OH is seeking a capable HVAC Commercial Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems across client sites.

The role requires a high school diploma and HVAC certification, with CMMS familiarity and an EPA certification preferred. You will read manuals, perform preventative maintenance, install equipment, and advise clients on optimizations, ensuring safety and uptime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid HVAC technician certification or license as required by local regulations.
• Proven experience in commercial HVAC system repair and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• EPA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure continuous operation.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using specialized tools and equipment, and implement effective repair solutions.
• Install, test, and commission new HVAC and refrigeration equipment according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Collaborate with clients to assess system performance, provide technical advice, and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary.
• Maintain accurate service records, document repairs, and communicate effectively with team members and management regarding service status and parts inventory.

About the Role:

TheHVAC Commercial Service Technicianplays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex mechanical and electrical components to guarantee efficient operation and compliance with safety standards. The technician will work closely with clients to provide timely service solutions that minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential issues before they escalation, contributing to overall customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Ultimately, the technician’s expertise supports the comfort, safety, and productivity of commercial environments through skilled technical service and maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid HVAC technician certification or license as required by local regulations.
• Proven experience in commercial HVAC system repair and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration systems and electrical components related to HVAC.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
