Job summary

ATEX Distributing is seeking a Commercial HVAC Sales Specialist to support contractors, engineers, and building owners with equipment guidance and responsive service.

You will build relationships, prepare quotes, guide equipment selection, own opportunities from inquiry to close, and collaborate with Outside Sales and manufacturers while mentoring teammates to deliver trusted solutions.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in commercial HVAC or related technical sales experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment and applications.
• Proven experience developing commercial HVAC equipment quotations and proposals for retrofit, replacement, and new project opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow relationships with commercial HVAC customers and uncover new sales opportunities.
• Prepare quotes and proposals for commercial, retrofit, and replacement projects.
• Guide customers on equipment selection and application with hands-on technical support.
• Own opportunities from first inquiry through close.
• Partner with Outside Sales, manufacturers, and internal teams to deliver.

• Strong sales, communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage customer relationships, sales opportunities, projects, and competing priorities.
• Preferred: Experience with an HVAC distributor, manufacturer's rep, mechanical contractor, or commercial HVAC equipment manufacturer.
