Job summary

Midwest Applied Solutions is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to perform electrical and mechanical inspection, start-up, service and maintenance on equipment we sell. This full-time role requires strong customer service, reliable communication with project managers and service coordinators, and teamwork.

The ideal candidate has HVAC certification, OSHA 10, 1–5 years' experience as a Service Helper or Technician, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Reading and comprehension of simple instructions, memos and short correspondence.
• Written communication skills to write correspondence and reports.
• Ability to present information for one-on-one and small group settings.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical and mechanical inspection and maintenance on equipment to ensure peak performance.
• Performs preventative maintenance including belt adjustments, oiling, greasing and cleaning of equipment.
• Interprets engineering drawings for layout, location and operation of systems.
• Represents the company in a positive manner to trades, contractors and owners.
• Advises owner/representative of preventive maintenance inspections performed and actions to be taken.
• Suggests additional services beneficial to customers.
• Works in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Submits required paperwork to Service Coordinator in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned; may work overtime/weekends.
• Maintains safety at all times.
