Job summary

Mid-South Equipment Sales & Services seeks a Commercial HVAC Service Technician in Louisiana to perform electrical and mechanical inspections and startup maintenance on the equipment we sell. You will coordinate with Project Managers, Service Coordinators, and customers, ensuring top-tier service and safety in a field environment.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of field service experience, a valid driver’s license, OSHA 10 training, and HVAC certification.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Current HVAC certification and OSHA 10 Training; 5+ years’ experience as a Service Technician in a commercial environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and reference layout/operation of systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical and mechanical inspection and maintenance on equipment to ensure peak performance.
• Perform preventative maintenance including belt adjustments, oiling, greasing and cleaning of equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings to determine layout, location and operation of the system(s).
• Represent the company in a positive manner to other trades, contractors and owners.
• Advise owner/representative of preventive maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be taken.
• Suggest additional services beneficial to the customer.
• Work in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Submit required paperwork to Service Coordinator promptly.
• Work safely and ensure safety measures are followed daily.
