Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Special Projects Estimator to prepare complete estimates for HVAC and sheet metal bids on commercial projects. You will solicit subcontractor quotes, review plans, and develop bid strategies in collaboration with the Estimating Manager.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of trades estimating and 1+ year in pre-construction, with proficiency in estimating software and MS Office. Occasional travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' trades estimating experience in commercial/industrial construction.
• 1+ years' Estimating/Pre-Construction experience; HVAC knowledge helps.
• Knowledge of estimating software (Autobid, Quote Soft, TSI, Estimation).
• Advanced understanding of cost control and construction assemblies.
• Strong written and verbal communication, MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complete estimates for bids on assigned projects.
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotations to cover all scopes.
• Review plans, specs, and addenda; develop bid strategies and rough scopes.
• Enter estimates into the cost control system and coordinate with operations.
