Job summary

BBI Construction Management, Inc. is seeking an Estimator to support preconstruction and business development through accurate cost estimating, subcontractor engagement, and early project planning. The role owns conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, bid proposals, and value engineering recommendations for commercial construction projects.

The ideal candidate has renovated or ground-up commercial project experience and understands changes when construction occurs inside occupied buildings.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Experience with renovation and/or ground-up commercial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, schematic, and detailed construction estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Develop bid packages and proposal documents.
• Participate in preconstruction planning and budgeting.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost savings.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical cost data.
• Support business development and client presentations.
• Coordinate with project teams through project turnover and startup.
