Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Mid Level Estimator in the US for commercial construction projects. The role requires 8+ years of estimating experience to prepare cost estimates and review drawings, specs, and bid documents.

You will perform quantity takeoffs, solicit quotes, develop bid proposals, and identify value engineering opportunities while collaborating with PMs, architects, engineers, and subs throughout preconstruction.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids while meeting deadlines.
• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and detailed cost analyses.
• Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Develop complete bid proposals and assist with tender submissions.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the preconstruction process.
• Maintain up-to-date pricing databases and estimating records.
• Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and project handovers as required.
