Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Permanent Senior Estimator (Pre-Construction) in Kettering, MD to lead cost estimating for commercial projects, manage pre-bid sessions, and ensure compliance with codes. The role requires strong collaboration with PMs, architects, and engineers, and proficiency in BlueBeam to review plans.

You will format RFPs and maintain cost records for future bids. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in base building and interior projects, with a proven track record in cost

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction, estimating, or construction management.
• Proven experience in pre-construction, including managing pre-bid sessions and preparing cost estimates.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Proficiency in BlueBeam or similar software for reviewing project plans.
• Experience in formatting and preparing RFPs.
• Base building and interior project experience is a must.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with team leadership ability.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in estimating and cost control software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-construction team in preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for commercial projects.
• Manage pre-bid sessions and ensure information is communicated to contractors.
• Interpret and apply building codes and regulations for compliance.
• Use BlueBeam to review and analyze project plans and specs.
• Format and prepare detailed RFPs for contractors and suppliers.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to discuss estimates.
• Monitor and track project costs to maintain budgets.
• Maintain a database of cost records for future reference and prediction.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor bids for completeness and accuracy.
