Job summary
Higgins Group, Inc. seeks a Commercial Estimator to analyze documents, prepare accurate cost estimates, and support business development. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or an Associate plus two years' experience.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Experience in commercial/industrial construction welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to prepare estimates.
- Prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates and budgets.
- Evaluate materials for purchase by cost changes/additions.
- Submit bids and budgets by the bid deadline.
- Build general contractor relationships and pursue new work.
- Review submittals, procurement, and labor/equipment needs across projects.
- Collaborate with project managers/foremen for handoffs and closeouts.
- Include value-engineering ideas on bids.
- Follow up on bids to win work.
