Higgins Group, Inc. in Wichita, KS seeks a Commercial Estimator to analyze construction documents and develop complete budgets. You will identify value-engineering opportunities and work with Project Managers to ensure smooth handoff from bid to execution.

Responsibilities include bid submissions, materials evaluation, and building strong general contractor relationships to secure new work. A 2-year or bachelor’s level education plus related experience is preferred.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree preferred; or Associate degree and two years related experience.
• General knowledge in engineering or architectural trade can be beneficial.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze blueprints, architectural drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare estimates and maximize effectiveness through project assessment.
• Evaluate materials by cost changes and additions.
• Submit 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline.
• Sell projects and build general contractor relationships.
• Coordinate submittals, procurement, and labor/equipment across projects.
• Work closely with project foremen and project managers.
• Include value-engineering ideas on every bid.
• Follow up on bids with Architect/GC to close business.
