Job summary

ICF is seeking a Commercial Account Specialist in Baton Rouge, LA to recruit and manage energy efficiency program participants, develop sales strategies, and provide technical guidance on energy‑efficient technologies. You will travel locally up to 50% and collaborate with customers, contractors, and internal teams.

The role requires a bachelor's degree (or related experience) and 2+ years in energy efficiency/sales/outreach, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent one year of related experience per year of education.
2+ years of energy efficiency, sales or outreach experience with commercial or industrial clients.
Valid driver’s license; MVR check required.

Responsibilities

Recruit program participants, account management, developing and implementing sales strategies, preparing and delivering persuasive presentations, relationship building activities.
Provide technical assistance and guidance on energy‑efficient technologies and practices to companies participating in utility‑sponsored programs.
Ensure projects in assigned territory are up to date in program tracking system by communicating with customers and contractors on project status and expected completion dates.
Presentations and training to local stakeholder groups, contractors, and customers.
Work as part of a team ensuring that the evaluation, implementation, and verification of energy efficiency projects are successfully executed in all non-residential markets.
Provide an array of contractor support and assistance services.
Conduct surveys and inspections of energy efficiency projects to verify equipment installation and operation.
Perform quality assurance reviews of submitted projects for approval.
Travel Requirements: Must have reliable vehicle for local travel up to 50% of the time in the southeastern Louisiana region (reimbursement for mileage provided).
