Madison Energy Group seeks a Commercial Energy Advisor to manage the client relationship from initial conversation through installed project. This consultative sales role identifies facilities with recoverable energy spend, secures data, presents engineered proposals to owners, and stays with the account through installation and verification.
Compensation is commission-based on closed revenue with overrides on referred Advisor production.
Madison Energy Group develops commercial energy efficiency projects across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Our core business covers HVAC, cold storage, and LED lighting, while our Enhanced Building Division delivers roof coatings, water conservation, and window films. We use in-house systems and processes to identify opportunities, engineer the measure set, and deliver solutions backed by a performance guarantee — savings are measured against a metered baseline and verified to IPMVP protocol, not estimated.
Commercial Energy Advisors own the client relationship from first conversation through installed project. This is a consultative sales role, not order-taking: you identify facilities with recoverable energy spend, secure the utility data and site access needed to build a case, present engineered proposals to owners and operators, and stay with the account through installation and verification.
Compensation is commission-based on closed revenue, with a separate override on referred-Advisor production. Commissions are paid within 72 hours of the later of client payment or install completion and acceptance. Advisors operate under a one-year Advisor Agreement with restrictive covenants; full terms are reviewed before signing.
Who fits: prior B2B or outside sales experience, comfort in front of owners and operators, and the discipline to work a long-cycle capital sale. Technical energy background is helpful but not required — MEG provides engineering support.
A Kingsman is an independent energy consultant who opens doors. You are not selling, surveying, or managing installs — you are leveraging relationships you already have to introduce Madison Energy Group to decision-makers who own or operate commercial facilities. MEG's Advisors and engineering team carry it from there.
Compensation is 7.5% of gross sales on business originated through your introductions. No quota, no territory, no reporting structure — this is a referral channel built for people who already have the relationships and want them to produce.
Who fits: we screen for three things — Grit, Growth Mindset, and Network. Depth of existing relationships matters more than energy industry experience. Common backgrounds include executive leadership, business development, commercial real estate, facilities, and military service.
