Job summary

Facilities Maintenance Management is seeking Electricians to service, troubleshoot, repair, or install electrical systems for commercial projects in Louisiana. The role emphasizes safety and compliance with local codes.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of three years in the electrical trade, NEC knowledge, blueprint-reading ability, and proficiency with testing equipment and power tools. FMM offers competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent apprenticeship is required.
Must follow safety protocols and work in a drug-free environment.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the electrical trade and strong craft knowledge.
Knowledge of safety rules and regulations; learn client and company policy.
Ability to handle multiple projects and align with FMM values: Quality, Teamwork, Integrity, Safety, Versatility.
Proficient in computers, text, and email.
Proficient with power tools and electrical testing equipment.
Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Experience with high voltage and low voltage systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
Basic knowledge of frame carpentry for installation purposes.

Responsibilities

Plan layout and installation of wiring based on job specs and local codes.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Test electrical systems or circuit continuity using meters to ensure safety and compatibility.
Use power tools and testing equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
Inspect systems and components to identify hazards or code compliance issues.
Install conduits and pull insulated wires between boxes.
Diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and hand tools.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
Collaborate with other trades to complete projects on time and within budget.
Maintain safety and a clean work area.
