Job summary

Midwest Drywall Co Inc in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Commercial Drywall Project Manager to lead commercial drywall projects on site. You will coordinate with the Superintendent, manage client and contractor relationships, and drive safety and schedule adherence.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of PM experience in construction, knowledge of drywall systems, and strong communication. Travel between sites, a valid driver's license, and English (Spanish a plus) are expected.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in construction project management.
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of light gauge framing and drywall.
  • Ability to work in a team and contribute to project success.
  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; strong attention to detail.
  • Willing to travel between jobsites; valid driver's license.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provideoverall direction and leadership for an entire project with the Superintendent.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and field teams.
  • Lead safety culture and mentor others on safety practices.
  • Support preconstruction with quantity takeoff, trade coordination and scope review.
  • Develop schedule, bid packages, and bid advertisements.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies; monitor costs vs. budget.

Job Description

The Project Manager will beresponsible for managing direction on commercial construction projects focusingon framing and drywall. This role requires a deep understanding of constructionprocesses, material, labor as well as strong analytical and communicationskills. The Project Manager serves as the primary contact and monitorsconstruction progress, along with financial activities in collaboration withthe Superintendent(s), leading with a safety first mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Provideoverall direction and leadership for an entire project along with theProject Superintendent
  • Build,collaborate, and maintain lasting relationships with clients, generalcontractors, subcontractors, and field teams
  • Lead allaspects of the company’s safety culture and creates awareness throughindividual actions and mentoring others
  • Supports thepreconstruction team including quantity takeoff, trade coordination andscope of work development, scope review, bid package development, scheduledevelopment, bid list creation and bid advertisement
  • Identify andevaluate potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects anddevelop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Regularly reviews costs relative to thebudget and highlights discrepancies to enable improved financialperformance

Requirements,Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of3-years' experience in construction project management
  • Bachelor’sdegree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field ispreferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge oflight gauge framing and drywall
  • Ability towork collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to the overallsuccess of the projects.
  • Proficiencyin various software such as Procore, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
  • Must haveexcellent communication skills (verbal and oral)
  • Strongattention to detail and accuracy, with strong organizational skills
  • Must beself-motivated and proactive carrying out duties
  • Strongproblem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate project challengesand develop solutions.
  • Must bewilling to travel between jobsites
  • Must have avalid Driver's License
  • Bilingual(English/Spanish) is a plus
