Midwest Drywall Co.,Inc. in Wichita, KS, is seeking a Commercial Drywall Project Manager to lead framing and drywall on high-profile commercial projects. You will coordinate with the Superintendent, manage schedules, budgets, and safety while maintaining strong client relations.

The role requires 3+ years in construction project management, knowledge of light gauge framing, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office. Travel to jobsites is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of light gauge framing and drywall.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam and MS Office.
• Willingness to travel between jobsites.
• Valid Driver's License and bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and leadership for an entire project along with the Project Superintendent.
• Build, collaborate, and maintain relationships with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and field teams.
• Lead all aspects of the company’s safety culture and mentor others.
• Support preconstruction activities including quantity takeoff, scope development, bid packaging, and schedule development.
• Identify and evaluate risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Review costs relative to the budget and flag discrepancies to improve financial performance.

Job Description

The Project Manager will beresponsible for managing direction on commercial construction projects focusingon framing and drywall. This role requires a deep understanding of constructionprocesses, material, labor as well as strong analytical and communicationskills. The Project Manager serves as the primary contact and monitorsconstruction progress, along with financial activities in collaboration withthe Superintendent(s), leading with a safety first mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Provideoverall direction and leadership for an entire project along with theProject Superintendent
• Build,collaborate, and maintain lasting relationships with clients, generalcontractors, subcontractors, and field teams
• Lead allaspects of the company’s safety culture and creates awareness throughindividual actions and mentoring others
• Supports thepreconstruction team including quantity takeoff, trade coordination andscope of work development, scope review, bid package development, scheduledevelopment, bid list creation and bid advertisement
• Identify andevaluate potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects anddevelop strategies to mitigate them.
• Regularly reviews costs relative to thebudget and highlights discrepancies to enable improved financialperformance

Requirements,Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of3-years' experience in construction project management
• Bachelor’sdegree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field ispreferred, but not required.
• Knowledge oflight gauge framing and drywall
• Ability towork collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to the overallsuccess of the projects.
• Proficiencyin various software such as Procore, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
• Must haveexcellent communication skills (verbal and oral)
• Strongattention to detail and accuracy, with strong organizational skills
• Must beself-motivated and proactive carrying out duties
• Strongproblem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate project challengesand develop solutions.
• Must be willing to travel between jobsites
• Must have avalid Driver's License
• Bilingual(English/Spanish) is a plus
