Job summary

McKee Door Sales of Columbus Inc. is seeking a Commercial Door Technician to install and service rolling and sectional doors, dock gear, and operators. You’ll inspect sites, read blueprints, and work with a team to keep businesses running smoothly.

You’ll use hand tools daily, climb and work at heights, and lift up to 100 lbs. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and pride in quality workmanship, with growth through internal promotion and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–5+ years of installation or construction experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record (no DUIs, <3 points).
• Can lift up to 100 lbs and work at heights.
• Comfortable working outside in the elements.
• Know your way around a tape measure and basic math.
• Can pass a drug screen and background check.
• Willing to learn and grow with a team that’s got your back.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial doors, operators, and dock gear.
• Double-check site conditions to ensure safety and readiness.
• Talk with superintendents, managers, or building owners.
• Handle some light framing or adjustments when needed.
• Keep your truck stocked and tools ready to roll.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, and tape measures.

• Keep the team updated on progress and issues.

McKee Door Sales of Columbus Inc. is looking for a Commercial Door Technician who doesn’t mind working with their hands, working at heights, and getting the job done right. You’ll install rolling and sectional doors, dock equipment, and operators that keep businesses running.
