Our client is on a mission to transform the way people gift, buy, and experience products across life’s key moments—using the power of AI, behavioural insight, and seamless technology.

Currently in early-stage scale-up mode, they’re developing a first-of-its-kind digital gifting engine: a smart, scalable, licensable platform designed for integration into major eCommerce ecosystems. While their B2C eCommerce site goes live in early 2026, the true product lies in the tech behind it—a game-changing gifting solution built for the modern market.

They are now seeking a Commercial Strategy Director to help shape, brand, and launch this innovative tech solution to a broader B2B market. This is a rare opportunity to help define the commercial trajectory of a business where tech is the product, and eCommerce is just the starting point.

The Role

As Commercial Strategy Director, you’ll work directly with the Founder to:

  • Lead the commercialisation and go-to-market strategy for their AI gifting widget.
  • Build scalable revenue streams through licensing, integration, and strategic partnerships.
  • Position the product for B2B integration with platforms such as neo banks, retailers, and gifting apps.
  • Shape investor narratives, commercial business models, and pitch decks.
  • Collaborate with product, UX, and tech teams to ensure commercial readiness and scalability.
  • Engage directly with potential partners to pitch and secure commercial opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends across AI, commerce, and fintech.

About You

  • Commercially astute, with a strong track record in tech-enabled businesses—eCommerce, SaaS, fintech, or AI.
  • Finance-savvy: comfortable with cash flow models, forecasting, and unit economics.
  • Strategic thinker and storyteller, able to craft compelling B2B and investor narratives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—low ego, collaborative, and hands-on.
  • Fluent in the language of tech, even if you’re not from a development background.
  • Experienced in launching products, building GTM plans, or forming commercial partnerships.
  • Passion for gifting, experience design, or emotional tech products.
  • Background in launching and scaling founder-led brands or early-stage ventures.
  • Fintech, platform integration, or innovation background a plus.
  • Global outlook with a flair for branding, storytelling, and market positioning.
