Summary / Position Objective
The Commercial Director - Brazil will be responsible for leading BRANDT's commercial strategy and operations in the Brazilian market, ensuring the execution of the company's strategic priorities and directly contributing to sustainable growth, profitability, and the expansion of BRANDT's presence in the country.
This position will play a key role in developing and strengthening the commercial organization by leading high-performing teams, enhancing commercial processes and practices, and strengthening relationships with customers, distributors, cooperatives, and other strategic partners.
The Commercial Director - Brazil will report directly to the CEO of BRANDT Brazil, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the VP of BRANDT International, working closely with the leadership team and cross functional areas across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the commercial strategy for Brazil, aligned with BRANDT's local, regional, and corporate objectives.
- Translate the company's strategy into commercial goals, priorities, and action plans, ensuring the achievement of revenue, volume, pricing, margin, and profitability targets.
- Identify and develop growth opportunities across products, markets, regions, channels, and customers, strengthening BRANDT's presence in the Brazilian market.
- Lead strategies for new customer acquisition, retention, and development of the existing customer base.
- Develop and manage sales forecasts, performance indicators, and commercial management routines, ensuring the quality and accuracy of information.
- Strengthen relationships with distributors, cooperatives, customers, and strategic partners across the agribusiness sector.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Market Development, Operations, Finance, and other functions, monitoring market trends, competition, and distribution channels to support business strategy and growth.
- Lead and develop the commercial team, establishing clear responsibilities, goals, and performance indicators.
- Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, accountability, and customer focus, aligned with BRANDT's values.
- Develop commercial leaders and professionals through ongoing guidance, coaching, and feedback.
- Ensure the commercial structure is aligned with the needs and growth objectives of the business.
- Identify and develop talent and successors for key positions, strengthening engagement and retention of high-performing professionals.

Travel
This position will have over 60% travel availability and must be able to stay one week per month in Londrina during the first six months.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, including relevant experience in management positions within Commercial, Marketing, and/or Business Development functions.
- Solid experience in leading and managing commercial teams, including leadership development and building high-performing teams.
- Proven experience in market development and expansion.
- Experience in channel management, including relationship management and negotiations with distributors and cooperatives.
- Experience defining and managing commercial strategies, targets, forecasts, performance indicators, pricing, and margins.
- Experience in specialty fertilizers, plant nutrition, adjuvants, or related agribusiness segments will be considered a plus.
Languages
- Fluent English – required, due to frequent interaction with BRANDT's international leadership.
- Spanish will be considered a plus.
Location
This is a home-based position, open to candidates residing in major airport-hub cities or important agribusiness regions in Brazil. This position may be required to spend one week at a time at the operational facility in Londrina.
