Build long-term relationships with customers to develop new business opportunities, ensuring achievement of sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals.
Role Scope
This is a senior commercial leadership role focused on industrial clients and international markets.
The position is responsible for customer relationship management, development of business opportunities with current customers, profitability follow-up, commercial execution, CRM discipline, and leadership of the commercial team. The role requires the ability to connect customer needs with internal capabilities across Commercial, Marketing, R&D, Operations, Finance, Export/Logistics, and other key areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop commercial opportunities with current customers through annual business reviews and alignment of customer sales pipelines with company pipelines.
- Lead the end-to-end commercial management of existing customers to ensure budget achievement and generate incremental sales.
- Manage new product development projects with customers, coordinating internally with the required areas.
- Lead and develop the commercial team, supporting commercial executives and strengthening performance across accounts.
- Facilitate customer loyalty plans together with Marketing, aligned with customer needs and business priorities.
- Monitor monthly sales, margins, profitability, and financial closing reports with the commercial team, taking action when required to protect budgeted profitability.
- Follow up on customer portfolio and accounts receivable on a monthly basis.
- Manage CRM strategy, customer plans, and project administration to guarantee execution and visibility.
- Ensure a smooth transition and reception of new accounts delivered by the New Business team.
Required Experience
- Minimum 8 years of commercial experience managing industrial clients, preferably in food, ingredients, cocoa, chocolate, semi-finished products, or related B2B markets.
- Experience in international markets, including commercial management, export-related business dynamics, and customer loyalty/fidelization.
- Proven experience developing and managing key accounts, strengthening customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.
- Experience coordinating projects with different internal areas and ensuring cross-functional follow-up.
- Experience leading commercial teams and supporting commercial executives in account management, pipeline, and execution.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Business Administration, Commercial Management, Marketing, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- Postgraduate studies are desirable in International Business, Strategic Management, Commercial Management, or related areas.
