Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Credit Underwriter to underwrite and structure complex credit transactions with minimal oversight. You will approve merchant exposure within your credit authority, delivering financial and industry analyses and ensuring adherence to policy and regulatory requirements.

The role also involves coaching Sales partners, supporting Risk management, and collaborating with Relationship Managers and product partners to deliver integrated credit solutions for Global Banking

Qualifications

• 3+ years of solid experience in commercial underwriting across complex credits
• Experience preparing and completing Risk Rating scorecards
• Strong communication and analytical/technical skills including financial modeling and loan structuring
• Prior experience in a high-volume commercial credit production environment

Responsibilities

• Performs underwriting and structuring of complex credit transactions
• Delivers financial, industry, economic analyses to support recommendation of merchant exposure
• Negotiates credit terms while adhering to policies and regulatory requirements
• Provides coaching and support to Sales partners and Credit Team members
• Collaborates with Relationship Manager, Global Merchant Specialist, Treasury Solutions Officer and other partners to design integrated solutions
