Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; accounting/finance/economics specialization preferred.
• 5+ years of commercial credit underwriting or equivalent experience preferred.
• Excellent credit analysis, risk management and loan structuring skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites moderately complex loan requests to meet customer and prospects' needs while protecting the bank.
• Performs high quality credit analysis and underwriting to identify risks and mitigants.
• Evaluates credit requests and structure.
• Adheres to processes, quality standards and responsiveness.
• Validates loan codes within packages for accuracy.
• Participates in Pre-Flight discussions and memorializes takeaways.
• Builds out loan request details in the origination system with portfolio managers.
• Performs appraisal review and evaluation if applicable.
• Validates risk ratings and requests changes if warranted.
• Travel may be required within Peoples Bank footprint.
