Job summary

You will collaborate with commercial banking portfolio managers, perform thorough credit analysis, validate collateral and repayment sources, and ensure timely, compliant decisions. Travel is limited to footprint; requires strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics.
• 5+ years of commercial credit underwriting or equivalent.
• Strong credit analysis and loan structuring skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to travel; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites moderately complex loan requests to meet customer needs while protecting the bank.
• Performs high quality credit analysis and underwriting to identify risks and mitigants.
• Evaluates credit requests and structure.
• Complies with established processes, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Validates loan codes for accuracy.
• Participates in Pre-Flight discussions and memorializes takeaways.
• Builds loan request details in the origination system with portfolio managers.
• Performs appraisal review and evaluation if applicable.
• Validates risk ratings and requests changes if warranted.
• Performs special projects as assigned.
