Job summary

RiverBank in Spokane, WA is seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst to join the Credit Administration team. The role analyzes commercial borrowing relationships, assesses financial performance, and supports sound credit decisions with a growth path toward senior underwriting responsibilities.

The position involves evaluating loan requests, performing cash flow analysis, assessing collateral, and preparing credit memorandums.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Two to five years of experience in commercial banking or related financial services.
• Experience analyzing financial statements and tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Analyze commercial loan requests, renewals, modifications, and annual relationship reviews.
• Evaluate borrower and guarantor financial strength from financial statements, tax returns, projections.
• Perform cash flow analysis, debt service coverage calculations, leverage and liquidity analyses.
• Assess collateral adequacy, repayment sources, guarantor support, and overall credit structure.
• Identify strengths, weaknesses, risks, and mitigating factors in credit relationships.
• Spread business and personal financial statements and tax returns per bank guidelines.
• Prepare clear, concise credit memorandums and risk assessments for management review.
• Develop credit recommendations and identify policy exceptions and documentation gaps.
• Gather and organize loan documentation to meet policy and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with annual reviews, credit renewals, risk ratings, and portfolio maintenance.
