Job summary

Wheatland Bank in Spokane, WA seeks a seasoned Commercial Banking Support professional to assist Relationship Managers in managing a commercial client portfolio and expanding the bank's referral network.

You will analyze financial statements, prepare loan documents, and conduct underwriting analyses to support loan decisions, while delivering exceptional client service and cross-selling opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience in banking, finance, accounting, or similar field.
Strong analytical and financial analysis skills with the ability to review and interpret financial statements and credit information.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain client relationships effectively.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficient in using banking software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant applications.
Knowledge of commercial agricultural lending practices, products, and services is advantageous.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and risk management practices in the banking industry.

Responsibilities

Assist Relationship Managers in building and maintaining strong relationships with commercial banking clients.
Prepare loan documents and underwriting analyses for loan approvals.
Analyze financial statements, tax returns, budgets, and other financial data to support credit decisions.
Monitor loan portfolios for compliance with covenants and timely repayment.
Collaborate with Credit Administration to maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files.
Provide exceptional customer service and assist clients with banking transactions and reviews.
