Job summary

ABOC in Chicago is hiring a Credit Analyst to provide analysis of financial information for lending officers and support underwriting of loan applications. The role also involves preparing documentation, and performing administrative duties for the CRE/commercial portfolio.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Business and 3–5 years in commercial banking or credit analysis, with strong financial analysis, communication, and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in commercial banking or credit analysis.
• Strong financial analysis, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow to assess creditworthiness of commercial borrowers.
• Prepare credit memoranda, loan presentations, and other materials for internal meetings and approvals.
• Assist in structuring loan requests and identifying risks and mitigating factors.
• Order and review appraisals, credit reports, title work, and other due diligence materials.
• Coordinate with lenders, Loan Operations, and third parties to support loan processing and closings.
• Monitor loan portfolios for covenant compliance, financial reporting, maturities, and past due activity.
• Maintain accurate credit files, collateral records, and tracking systems.
• Communicate with clients and relationship managers to collect financial information.
• Prepare portfolio reports, watch lists, and other internal management reporting.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
