Job summary

Tekion Corp in Pleasanton, CA seeks an experienced Commercial Counsel to support end-to-end contracting. You will negotiate high-impact agreements, draft complex SaaS and enterprise-level deals, and partner with Sales, Finance, Product and other teams to move the business forward while managing risk.

You will provide practical legal guidance, stay informed on data privacy, AI, and industry trends, and help scale processes in a fast-growing company with stock options and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years’ experience providing legal support to sales organizations at a high growth fast paced SaaS company.
• Extensive experience negotiating complex commercial agreements at the enterprise level.
• Familiarity with contracting SaaS, AI, and Data Privacy agreements.
• Familiarity with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards.
• Business minded: balance legal risk with business priorities and speed.
• Collaborative: coordinate input from cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting, review and negotiation of complex commercial agreements including SaaS, MSAs, SOWs, DPAs and partnerships.
• Partner with Sales and Partnership teams for quick turnaround under tight deadlines.
• Work cross-functionally with Finance, Professional Services, Sales Ops, Engineering and others on contract reviews.
• Provide practical, business-focused legal advice to internal stakeholders on a wide range of commercial matters.
• Stay up to date on laws and trends impacting SaaS, AI, Data Privacy and Automotive.
