Job summary

S&P Global Mobility is seeking a commercial counsel to support our Mobility Global Business Solutions Legal team. You will draft, review, and negotiate data subscription, licensing, SaaS and MSA agreements while handling DPAs and data protection provisions.

This role engages with marketing/compliance on UDAP/CAN-SPAM and FTC considerations. You will partner with internal teams to provide pragmatic legal guidance, support strategic programs, and drive scalable contracting processes across the

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active admission and good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proven track record drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Experience advising on data privacy and data protection matters.
• Working knowledge of advertising, consumer protection, and marketing laws (UDAP, CAN-SPAM).
• Pragmatic, business-oriented judgment and risk calibration.
• Ability to counsel internal stakeholders with clear, concise advice and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of complex commercial agreements including data subscription and licensing, SaaS, MSAs, and SOWs.
• Review and negotiate DPAs and data handling/security provisions with subprocessors.
• Provide guidance on advertising, marketing compliance and FTC alignment.
• Support cross-functional initiatives with practical legal guidance and scalable processes.
• Partner with Legal and Compliance to ensure risk-aligned execution across matters.
• Lead special projects to advance the division's priorities and governance improvements.
