Job summary

Valley Design and Construction is seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator to join our Utah-based team. You will develop accurate, competitive estimates from plans and specs, and collaborate with PMs, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients throughout preconstruction.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of estimating experience, strong knowledge of commercial methods, and proficiency with takeoff software such as Bluebeam. Attention to detail and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction estimating experience required.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, sequencing, and industry standards.
• Proficiency with takeoff software, particularly Bluebeam.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, MEP drawings and specs.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial construction, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to develop accurate, competitive estimates from project plans and specifications.

This position will work closely with project managers, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients throughout the estimating and preconstruction process. The successful candidate will be organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
