Job summary

J.M. Cope, Inc. in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Project Manager to lead multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

You will oversee scope, schedule, budget, procurement, quality, and safety while coordinating with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Construction experience: 5 years (Preferred).
• Project Management: 5 years (Preferred).
• State Issued Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to read and evaluate architectural/MEP drawings and relevant contract documents
• Thorough understanding of construction codes and OSHA safety requirements
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interact and collaborate at all levels
• Computer literate with MS Word, Excel, internet/email, MS Project
• Experience with Procore
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong work ethic and professional demeanor
• Effective listener and communicator; build relationships with clients, subcontractors, coworkers
• Committed work ethic and alignment with company values.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop comprehensive project management plans: scope, schedule, financials, procurement, quality, risk.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Facilitate Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) and internal team meetings.
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams for constructability and design intent.
• Support business development activities, including client presentations and proposals.
