Job summary

Ratcliff Construction Company, LLC in Louisiana is seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator to own the estimating process from setup through bid submission, across hard bid, negotiated, and CMAR projects. You will analyze plans, specs, and contracts to develop accurate cost estimates and budgets for successful proposals.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of estimating, is Excel proficient, and familiar with CMiC, OST, Bluebeam, P6, or MS Project.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction.
• Ability to manage estimates from setup through bid submission.
• Knowledge of CSI divisions, trade scopes, and estimating practices.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with proactive risk spotting.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial estimates from initial setup through final bid submission
• Develop accurate cost estimates from concept through construction documents
• Analyze plans, specs, addenda, and contracts for complete scope coverage
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
• Identify scope gaps, pricing exposures, and project risks before bid day
• Support proposals with trade partners and pursuit strategy
