Job summary

rand* construction corporation is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead bidding and estimating for commercial projects from Salt Lake City, UT. You will develop budgets, perform quantity takeoffs, and manage subcontractor scope while coordinating with preconstruction and marketing teams to win profitable work.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, 4+ years in commercial construction estimating, and proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam Revu, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Engineering or Construction Management recommended but not required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience estimating/managing commercial construction projects.
• Knowledge of architecture, engineering and construction.
• Strong ability to analyze project drawings, specifications and RFPs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual estimates and budgets for upcoming projects (conceptual bids).
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs; provide scope sheets for purchasing.
• Maintain bid log and subcontractor scope of work with extensive follow-up.
• Develop subcontractor relationships for solicitation of bids and prequalification.
• Attend pre-bid meetings/site visits and participate in project awards.
