Saur Construction Inc is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial projects. You will analyze blueprints, quantify materials and labor, and use HeavyBid and project-management tools to ensure budgets are sound and bids are competitive.

The ideal candidate has proven estimating experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication with clients and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial projects using HeavyBid and spreadsheets.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specs to assess scope.
• Estimate material costs and labor to develop project budgets.
• Track project costs with construction management software and update estimates.
• Communicate with clients to clarify requirements and provide updates.
• Collaborate with PMs, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing.
• Analyze bids and negotiate costs to optimize profitability.
• Maintain organized estimation records for future reference.
• Stay current with industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and estimating tools.
