Estimator – Commercial Construction (Divisions 5–10)

About Us

HD Construction is a growing commercial subcontractor specializing in high-quality work across Divisions 5–10—from structural metals to drywall, ceilings, and finishes. We’re known for delivering on-time, on-budget results without sacrificing craftsmanship or integrity.

We’re looking for an experienced Estimator who’s detail-oriented, digitally savvy, and ready to jump into a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

1. Analyze construction drawings and specs
2. Prepare detailed cost estimates and scopes of work for Division 5–10 trades
3. Perform takeoffs using tools like Bluebeam or PlanSwift
4. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
5. Collaborate with PMs to align bids with execution strategy
6. Identify value engineering opportunities and risks
7. Participate in pre-bid meetings and project handoffs

What We’re Looking For

1. 3+ years of estimating experience (Divisions 5–10 preferred)
2. Strong understanding of commercial construction means & methods
3. Fluent in Bluebeam, OST, or similar tools
4. Comfortable in spreadsheets and platforms like Google Drive, Slack, and Monday.com
5. Excellent communication and organizational skills
6. Ability to read architectural and structural plans
7. Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred (but not required)
