Paragon Legal Group in Seattle seeks an experienced Commercial Construction Attorney to provide ongoing legal and operational support for high-stakes underwater projects.
You will review contracts, handle regulatory compliance (OSHA and wage/hour), resolve payment disputes, and offer rapid risk assessments with clear go/no-go guidance.
A Seattle-based commercial diving and underwater construction company is exploring an opportunity for an experienced Commercial Construction Attorney to provide ongoing legal and operational support in a highly specialized, fast-moving environment.
The business supports major underwater construction projects, vessel recovery, infrastructure inspections, and urgent casualty response operations. The attorney will advise on commercial construction contracts, regulatory compliance, OSHA and wage and hour matters, customer payment disputes, warranty claims, and contractual risk management.
A critical component of the role involves supporting time-sensitive business decisions, particularly when urgent recovery work requires rapid contract review, practical risk assessment, and clear go/no-go recommendations.
The client is seeking an attorney with meaningful commercial construction experience who understands field operations and is comfortable working directly with a hands-on, blue-collar workforce. Success requires strong business judgment, a practical communication style, and the ability to balance legal protections with operational urgency.
This project starts ASAP, is 2-3 months with potential to extend, is remote with meaningful Pacific time zone overlap or local to the Seattle area, and requires approximately 20 hours per week, accommodating business hours of 6:00-7:00 a.m. through 3:30-4:30 p.m. Pacific. The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $110and $130. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
