DEI Incorporated in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager to support high-impact commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This is an office-based, full-time role requiring collaboration with Project Managers, Superintendents, architects, engineers, and subcontractors; travel about 10% to project sites may be required, with opportunities to advance into Project Manager responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong organizational and document-management skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work full-time from Cincinnati office.
• Travel approximately 10% as project needs require.
• Strong interest in building a long-term career in commercial construction.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with project planning, documentation, scheduling, and cost control.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Prepare, track, and coordinate RFIs and submittals.
• Assist with change orders, project documentation, and subcontractor coordination.
• Support construction schedule updates and milestone tracking.
• Participate in drawing reviews and quantity take-offs.
• Assist with buyout, bid comparisons, and subcontractor procurement.
• Process and review project documentation, invoices, and supporting cost information.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, Superintendents, and subcontractors.
• Support project closeout and turnover activities.
• Travel occasionally to project sites as required.
