Job summary

DEI Incorporated is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead upscale commercial projects in Cincinnati. You will own budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, client communication, and overall project performance from preconstruction through closeout.

The role requires a strong commercial construction background, the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, and travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Project Manager experience in commercial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Strong budget and cost-management experience.
• Experience managing subcontractors and project teams.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
• Willingness to travel up to ~30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction to closeout.
• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and financial performance.
• Lead bidding, buyout, subcontractor selection, and execution.
• Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders, progress billing, and documentation.
• Coordinate Superintendents and subcontractor partners.
• Review plans and specs to ensure compliance.
• Establish strong client relationships and communicate progress.
• Identify risks and take corrective actions to protect schedule and budget.
• Present value-engineering and cost-reduction options when appropriate.
• Coordinate milestones with leadership and external stakeholders.
