Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a driven Assistant Project Manager to support field operations on commercial construction projects in Fredericksburg, VA.

The role focuses on ensuring field supervision has the materials, equipment and information needed to complete the scope of work. The candidate will assist senior project managers, review contracts and drawings, and manage procurement and subcontractor coordination while maintaining client relationships and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Construction Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Project, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with PDF editing software such as Bluebeam/Adobe.
• Ability to learn company software as needed, e.g. Procore and Viewpoint.
• Proven track record working with people, teams and projects.
• Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision; attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist SPM/PM in submission/review of permits, proposals, submittals, contracts and change orders.
• Review specifications and drawings for subcontractor scopes of work.
• Prepare and distribute project RFIs and Submittals; maintain logs.
• Manage material procurement, vendor relations, deliveries and invoicing.
• Support field in expediting schedule and materials; assist with site safety enforcement.
