Responsibilities include cost calculations for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, plus securing quotes and drafting clear bid documents.

Formación

• Proven experience estimating commercial concrete construction projects.
• Ability to perform quantity takeoffs for reinforcing steel, concrete, formwork and related tasks.
• Interpret complex drawings and specs to define scope and costs.
• Experience with tilt walls, foundations, paving, retaining walls and flat work.
• Proficiency with industry-standard software tools (e.g., Bluebeam).

Location: Plantersville, TX | Compensation: $100,000 - $125,000 annually

We are looking for a Commercial Concrete Estimator to help drive our project success and business growth. In this role, you will play a key part in crafting competitive bids and refining our internal estimating workflows within our rapidly expanding construction firm.

Core Responsibilities

• Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and bid packages to define the full scope of work.
• Perform precise quantity takeoffs for reinforcing steel, concrete, formwork, and associated tasks.
• Calculate comprehensive costs covering labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor services.
• Secure and analyze quotes from vendors and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing and scope alignment.
• Draft professional proposals that clearly outline pricing, assumptions, and project inclusions or exclusions to support successful project acquisition.

Professional Qualifications

• Proven background in estimating commercial concrete construction projects.
• Hands-on experience with estimating tilt walls, foundations, paving, retaining walls, flat work, slope paving, and base preparation.
• Completion of a degree, diploma, or certificate program in civil engineering, construction management, construction technology, estimating, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze complex construction specifications and drawings.
• Deep knowledge of concrete construction techniques, material costs, and labor requirements to ensure project profitability.
• Proficiency in utilizing Bluebeam or similar industry-standard software tools.
