Job summary

CBRE Government & Defense Services is seeking a Commercial Cleaner to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Responsibilities include mopping, sweeping, trash disposal, and ensuring high-traffic areas stay pristine in a Monday–Friday shift from 9 AM to 3 PM.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least two years in facilities or custodial work, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Training on safety procedures and attention to detail are essential to meet company

Responsibilities

• Dust furniture and surfaces; move and rearrange as needed.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners.
• Follow chemical safety and equipment procedures.
• Attend staff meetings and required trainings.
• Work independently or as part of a team.

Job description

As a CBRE, GDS Commercial Cleaner, you willbe responsible forbasic cleaning duties. This includes mopping, sweeping and trash disposal. You willbe responsible forensuring the cleanliness of your assigned areas.

Shift Times: Monday through Friday, 9AM - 3PM

Primary Job Functions

• Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas of the buildingdesignatedby the supervisor.
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment which includes moving and rearranging furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Ensure that cleaning supplies are in a safe, secure areaat all times.
• Complete standardized cleaning process as per company standards.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Attend all regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.

What you'll need:

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered

Experience

• Required: Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience
• Experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial, or a similar field is preferred

License/Certification

• Preferred: No specific certifications required
• Any relevant certifications in maintenance, safety, or facilities operations are a plus

Working Conditions:

• Occasional exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
