Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in Sales, Estimating, or Project Management in the construction industry.
  • Proficient use of On-Screen Takeoff and/or Quick Bid software.
  • Strong math skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements and Prevailing Wage contracts.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent years of experience.

Job description

  • Find and build trusted customer relationships
  • Create and deliver project estimates, quotes, bids, proposals, and contracts
  • Manage customer service from sale through completion
  • Identify prospective customers and proactively engage with leads to drive sales
  • Sell proposals through account management, follow-up, value engineering, and strategic proposal formatting
  • Provide product expertise to current and potential customers
  • Meet proposal volume and sales-closing ratio expectations
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitor products
  • Conduct sales calls, generate leads, provide proposals, and manage accounts
  • Participate in bidding, pre-construction services, budgeting, and project planning
  • Review estimates, manage contracts, support production and field installers, and handle change orders
  • Develop and execute monthly sales plans for existing and new customers
  • Negotiate contracts and plan and manage projects for profitability
  • Conduct quantity takeoffs and follow peer-review and manager-review processes
  • Present comprehensive proposals and communicate competitive advantages
  • Ensure work agreements or customer contracts are fully executed before work begins
  • Communicate with general contractors and trades regarding project sequencing
  • Perform site visits, prepare schedules of values, monthly requisitions, and production milestone tracking
  • Generate change orders and resolve issues to protect project schedules
  • Communicate safety programs, inspect jobsites, monitor regulations, and assess risks
  • Establish project-review touchpoints with customers and internal teams
  • Assist production and field installers with project budgets
  • Oversee expenses and revenue to create financial returns and business growth
Requirements
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license required if operating a company vehicle
  • 3–5 years of experience in Sales, Estimating, or Project Management in the construction industry
  • Proficient use of On-Screen Takeoff Software and/or Quick Bid Software
  • Proficient use of MS Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
  • Strong mathematics skills
  • Working knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements and Prevailing Wage contracts
  • Obtain applicable certifications/licenses as required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with self-motivation, multitasking, and strong attention to detail
  • Preferred experience in commercial construction trades, including framing and sheathing, insulation, firestopping, fireproofing, waterproofing, AVB, expansion joints, and sealants
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Business Management preferred but not required, or equivalent years of experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and on uneven surfaces
  • Ability to climb ladders and perform climbing, stooping, balancing, kneeling, crawling, and lifting
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. or less
  • Ability to drive and stand, bend, lift, and sit or stand for long periods
