Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for downtown Chicago properties. You will perform preventive maintenance, manage subcontractors, and address tenant work orders to keep building systems reliable and safe.

The role requires participation in an on-call rotation, proactive issue resolution, and collaboration with the property manager to coordinate tenant improvements and project planning.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot MEP system failures and repairs.
• Experience with energy management systems and building controls.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for PMs, repairs and projects.
• Respond to tenant work orders promptly and professionally.
• Assist property manager and chief engineer with planning and tenant improvements.
• Maintain and organize mechanical/utility rooms and clean daily.
• Monitor energy systems, adjust set-points, document actions.
• Ensure Fire/Life/Safety equipment is functioning.
• Participate in on-call, after-hours, and weekend work as needed.
• Complete required training and safety programs.
• Provide exceptional customer service and uphold Ryan values.
