Job summary

gpac has partnered with a respected regional bank in Alabama to hire a Commercial Banking Officer. You will develop new commercial loan business, structure and close deals, and manage a diverse portfolio while representing the bank in the community.

Ideal candidates bring a bachelor's degree, 3+ years in banking, strong underwriting, and outstanding communication skills. You will proactively cross-sell banking services, coordinate with operations, and ensure compliance throughout loan cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years' banking or financial services experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proven underwriting experience including credit analysis.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate client needs and tailor financial solutions including commercial loans and other banking products.
• Promote and cross-sell the full range of banking services to meet client goals.
• Provide prompt responses to client inquiries within 24 hours.
• Maintain strong relationships with current clients to foster growth.
• Network at community events and with centers of influence to cultivate relationships.
• Achieve monthly call and outreach targets through prospecting.
• Prepare detailed credit analyses, loan memos, and ensure loan documentation is complete.
