Nusenda Credit Union in El Paso, TX is seeking a Commercial Banking Operations Specialist I to support the Commercial Banking Department with loan funding, document preparation, and compliance tasks.

You will review pre-funding requirements, coordinate third-party report requests, and handle the booking and funding of new loans and renewals, while maintaining tracking reports and supporting Relationship Teams.

Qualifications

• One to three years of similar or related experience.
• Associates degree or completion of a two-year college degree or equivalent.
• Stay current on Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Prepare loan inputs and board new loans, renewals, modifications, and extensions on the core system which typically include standard loan structures.
• Process all loan fundings, ensuring all funding requirements, approval conditions, and funding controls are satisfied prior to disbursement.
• Conduct quality control reviews of loan documents against approved credit memorandums to ensure compliance with approval conditions, policy and regulatory requirements, and established funding controls.

We are currently searching for a Full-Time Commercial Banking Operations Specialist I, to join our organization. As a Commercial Banking Operations Specialist I, you will provide operational support functions to mitigate transaction and compliance risk for the Commercial Banking Department. You will review pre-funding requirements for loan files and business deposit accounts to ensure compliance with organizational documents, authorities, CIP requirements, and BSA regulations. You will prepare accurate loan documents in compliance with credit approval, ensure collateral interests are perfected when applicable, coordinate third-party report requests, and handle the booking and funding of new loans and renewals. You will maintain exceptions and reports in tracking systems, handle loan billing, research, servicing, modifications, and collateral releases, and provide research and support to Commercial Relationship Teams.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare loan input forms and boards new loans, renewals, modifications, and extensions on the core system which typically include standard loan structures.
• Process all loan fundings, ensuring all funding requirements, approval conditions, and funding controls are satisfied prior to disbursement.
• Conduct quality control reviews of loan documents against approved credit memorandums to ensure compliance with approval conditions, policy and regulatory requirements, and established funding controls.

Ensure all reporting and financial covenants are accurately incorporated into loan documentation and that all security interests in collateral are perfected.

What You'll Need:

One to three years of similar or related experience

Associates degree, or completion of a two-year college degree or equivalent

Key Skills and Experience:

• Experience in multi-tasking, meeting strict deadlines, dealing with sensitive information, and problem resolution while providing exceptional service.
• Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft 365 technologies and all internal systems as affiliated with the department.
• Stay current on Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
