Job summary

Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst for its San Diego office to spread, analyze, and maintain financial data on customers, and develop credit studies for loan officers and executives. You will prepare reports, assess risk, and collaborate with treasury, FX, derivatives, and legal teams to support loan origination and compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, an Accounting course, and a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Accounting course.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Interest in working in Commercial Banking.
• Entry level speaking and writing communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Spread, manage and maintain financial background information on present and prospective customers.
• Develop credit studies for Loan Officers, Chief Credit Officer and other Executive Management.
• Prepare a variety of credit department reports.
• Analyze credit and collateral information to determine risk involved in lending money.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Bank groups to execute treasury management products, foreign exchange instruments, derivatives and legal documents.
• Produce loan packages for new and restructured loans.
• Monitor loan disbursements to ensure compliance with Bank regulations.
