- Underwrite and negotiate renewals and endorsements with a total Commercial portfolio premium of approximately $10.5M / 800 policies.
- Lines of business include Package, Automobile, WC, and Umbrella policies, with account premiums generally less than $125,000. The role is responsible for various industry segments within our general Commercial Insurance portfolio.
- Achieve favorable rates and retention within the assigned territory.
- Underwriting duties will include:
- Streamlining underwriting of Commercial accounts.
- Marketing and servicing accounts based on Chubb guidelines.
- Developing strong relationships with independent agents, brokers, and overseas counterparts to successfully manage our business.

- Underwrite and negotiate renewals and endorsements for a portfolio of approximately $10.5M in premiums across 800 policies.
- Manage various lines of business including Package, Automobile, WC, and Umbrella policies, focusing on accounts with premiums generally less than $125,000.
- Strive for favorable rates and high retention within your territory.
- Key underwriting tasks include:
- Streamlining the underwriting process for Commercial accounts.
- Marketing and servicing accounts in accordance with Chubb guidelines.
- Building and maintaining relationships with agents, brokers, and international partners to ensure business success.
Qualifications
Skills and Competencies
- Proven negotiation skills and ability to develop producer relationships.
- Strong service orientation and risk analysis background.
- Knowledge of marketing, underwriting, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various teams.
- Understanding of emerging hazards and trends is preferred.
- Capability to coach and mentor peers.
- Extensive multi-line underwriting experience.
- Deep analytical skills and customer needs assessment capabilities.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- One to two years of multi-line underwriting experience preferred.
